Sustainable solutions that won’t cost the earth-

As a supplier of aggregate products we have been working for more than 4 decades to create sustainable construction solutions for our core markets.

Gulf Coast Limestone is an environmentally responsible producer of high quality construction materials that benefit the environment.   We use a byproduct from the blasts in the quarries- oversized boulders produced during a blast that must be set aside in a stockpile to reduce our impact on the quarry.

Concrete Recycling

Alternative secondary materials such as byproducts of other manufacturing processes and recycled materials are incorporated into a number of the construction products in our range to create sustainable products.
When concrete structures are to be demolished, concrete recycling is an increasingly common method of disposing of the rubble. The very same rubble that was once routinely shipped to landfills for disposal is now being recycled for further use by Gulf Coast Limestone, which has a number of benefits that have made it a more attractive option in this age of greater environmental awareness and the desire to keep construction costs down.

Environmental Advantages
- Keeps our landfills clear of recyclable product.
- Greatly reduces the need to use natural aggregate.
- Recycles man-made product.
- Reduces the need for gravel mining.
- Helps in the fight to keep our environment clean.

Sustainable Transport Services

By Rail. Our rail network from our quarries has made a significant contribution to the reduction of trucks on our roads. We transported over eight million tons in 2008 alone eliminating many trucks off of US highways.

Recent Projects Providing Shoreline Protection include; The Galveston Seawall, Texas City Levy and Sylvan Beach.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

While we are focused on our strategy for the future, we take pride in the history of Gulf Coast Limestone. A clear understanding of how we got to where we are today can help us decide where we want to be tomorrow and how we are going to get there.
