Gulf Coast Limestone specializes in custom made limestone, granite and concrete rip rap.  The ability to produce rip rap to any specification and to allow a choice of material allows the product to be engineered for unique projects of any size. Other products and services include; base, railroad ballast, stabilized materials, sand, gravel, railcar unloading, construction and demolition.

Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc. was founded in 1962. At that time, there was a need for a full scale limestone company in Southeast Texas.  The company started out small with just two employees.  Today, Gulf Coast Limestone is still family owned and operated but has grown into a company which serves all of north, central, and southeast Texas, along with western Louisiana.  Gulf Coast Limestone prides itself for having superior quality products, all of which meet and exceed industry standards.  All of our trained personnel are committed to our customers and their satisfaction.  It is this customer loyalty and competitive pricing that has made Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc. the longest standing limestone business in southeast Texas.

Clients include the Natural Resource Conservation Service and Lower Colorado River Authority, both of which utilize riprap for water erosion control; the Texas Department of Transportation, which applies rock as part of bridge and road embankment construction; and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which uses riprap for breakwater structures and flood control projects. The company also offers riprap for projects of any size ranging from federally funded jobs such as the rebuilding of the rock groins in Galveston to smaller day-to-day orders.
