Crushed Limestone Rock

Crushed Limestone Rock

Crushed limestone concrete aggregate is produced from solid rock formations in quarries by blasting, crushing and screening. It is a well graded product, meaning that there is a minimum of voids or gaps between the different sizes of stones within the mix. Concrete aggregate is one ingredient in the production of concrete. Concrete is primarily composed of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water and cement. Coarse aggregate is usually crushed stone or gravel while fine aggregate is specially produced sand. The most widely used application for concrete aggregate is in the production of concrete for use in road construction and in slabs under commercial buildings and homes. Additionally, concrete aggregate is sometimes used for landscaping, dressing up areas in industrial facilities, electrical substations, pipe stands in petrochemical plants and other similar applications.
